Ankara Esenboğa Airport ( ICAO: LTAC , IATA: ESB) is the international airport serving the capital city Ankara. It has been operating since 1955 and it ranks 4th in terms of passenger traffic among airports in Turkey, with 13,9M passengers in 2025. The airport is located northeast of Ankara, 28 km from the city center.
The airport now has three parallel runways, the new parallel runway 03R-21L being operational since January 2026.
The airport also hosts ATC training center and the simulator building. There is also the Grand Honor Hall (Foreign Guests Mansion) for state protocol and for foreign high rank visitors. The current new domestic and international flights terminal building was completed in 2006.
The airport is a hub for AnadoluJet and Turkish Airlines.
